Position Summary

We are seeking a reliable and hands-on Manager to oversee transportation and facility operations with sales experience. This position will be responsible for supervising drivers, coordinating routes and deliveries, ensuring vehicles and equipment are properly maintained, and maintaining a safe, efficient, and productive night shift. As well as driving more growth of the business.

The ideal candidate is a strong leader who can work independently, communicate effectively with drivers and management, and ensure that all operations are completed safely, accurately, and on schedule.

Responsibilities

• Expand the business
• Supervise and coordinate day and night-shift drivers and transportation activities
• Assign routes, deliveries, and daily responsibilities to drivers
• Monitor driver performance, attendance, and adherence to company policies
• Ensure all deliveries and transportation activities are completed safely and on schedule
• Oversee loading and unloading procedures and proper handling of materials
• Ensure compliance with all company safety policies and transportation regulations
• Conduct or coordinate vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
• Assist with resolving delivery, scheduling, staffing, and operational issues
• Maintain accurate records, paperwork, and shift documentation
• Communicate effectively with drivers, customers, vendors, and management
• Ensure the facility and work areas are maintained in a clean and orderly condition
• Provide leadership, training, and direction to night-shift employees
• Address attendance, performance, and operational concerns as needed
• Respond to urgent operational issues during scheduled on-call weekends
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, safety, and overall night-shift performance

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Previous supervisory or management experience preferred
• Box truck driving experience required or strongly preferred
• Forklift experience preferred
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Ability to manage employees and prioritize multiple responsibilities
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
• Comfortable working overnight hours
• Strong attention to safety and operational detail
• Ability to remain on-site and actively manage the entire scheduled shift
• Must be available for on-call responsibilities two weekends per month
