Job Title: Tool and Die Maker/CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Entry-Level Tool & Die Maker to join our manufacturing team. This position is ideal for someone looking to begin a career in tooling, machining, and metal fabrication. The Tool & Die Maker will assist in building, repairing, maintaining, and troubleshooting tools, dies, jigs, fixtures, and molds used in the production process.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the construction, repair, and maintenance of tools, dies, and fixtures.
• Operate machining equipment such as lathes, mills, grinders.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructions.
• Measure parts using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
• Support troubleshooting efforts to identify and correct tooling issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tooling and equipment.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area while following all safety procedures.
• Work closely with production and engineering teams to maximize equipment performance.

Essential Skills

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Ability to read measuring devices and perform basic math calculations.
• Strong attention to detail and quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Technical school training in machining, manufacturing, or tool & die preferred but not required.

Work Environment

Work in a dynamic manufacturing environment with exposure to machinery, noise, and metal materials. Physical requirements include the ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds throughout the shift.

This is a Permanent position based out of Grandview, MO.

The pay range for this position is $41600.00 - $62400.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
