Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and collaborative UAT Analyst / UAT Coordinator to support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities across Product and Business teams. The ideal candidate will have experience coordinating UAT cycles, developing test cases, managing defects, and working closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful software releases.

This role requires strong communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills, along with hands-on experience using Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office tools.

Key Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary liaison between Product teams and Business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to plan, coordinate, and execute UAT activities for new application functionality.
  • Translate business requirements, process flows, and operational scenarios into UAT test cases, test scripts, validation checklists, and test data.
  • Facilitate UAT sessions, walkthroughs, and readiness reviews to ensure stakeholders understand testing objectives, scenarios, dependencies, and expected outcomes.
  • Coordinate test data, testing environments, user access, job aids, and supporting documentation to ensure testing readiness.
  • Manage UAT execution throughout 2–3-week testing cycles, conducting regular stakeholder meetings and office hours to address questions and resolve blockers.
  • Track, document, categorize, and prioritize defects, issues, risks, and open questions using Jira.
  • Collaborate with Product Owners, Product Analysts, and Business SMEs to investigate issues, coordinate resolutions, and validate fixes.
  • Consolidate testing results, monitor progress, identify quality trends, and communicate testing status and release readiness to stakeholders.
  • Distinguish between application defects, user errors, enhancement requests, and follow-up actions.
  • Identify opportunities to improve UAT processes, testing documentation, execution efficiency, and cross-functional collaboration.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Hands-on experience in User Acceptance Testing (UAT), software testing, business analysis, product support, or a related role.
  • Experience creating and executing UAT test cases, test scripts, and validation checklists.
  • Experience coordinating testing activities with business users, Product teams, and technical stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of defect management, issue tracking, and testing lifecycle processes.
  • Strong proficiency in Jira and Confluence for tracking defects, documenting requirements, and managing testing activities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint, for test tracking, reporting, and presentations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, facilitation, stakeholder management, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with strong attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting Agile software development and iterative release cycles.
  • Familiarity with business process mapping, requirements analysis, and acceptance criteria.
  • Experience preparing UAT status reports, defect summaries, and release readiness assessments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot functional issues and collaborate with technical teams to identify root causes.
  • Experience improving testing processes, documentation standards, and stakeholder collaboration.
