Build Reliable, High-Impact Technology as a QA / Test Engineer

Make Your Mark:

Kraang's Robotics is seeking a detail-driven QA / Test Engineer to help deliver dependable, high-quality technology in an in-person role in Little Diomede, Alaska. This is an exciting opportunity for a Quality Assurance Engineer, Software Test Engineer, or Test Automation Engineer who enjoys turning complex requirements into confident releases. You will have meaningful ownership of quality practices, the chance to improve test processes, and a direct voice in how products are validated before reaching users.

What You Will Do:

• Design, maintain, and execute thoughtful test plans, test cases, and test scenarios that verify functional, integration, and quality requirements.
• Partner with engineering and cross-functional stakeholders to clarify requirements, identify risks early, and build quality into each stage of development.
• Perform manual testing and contribute to test automation efforts that improve coverage, repeatability, and release confidence.
• Document defects clearly, support root-cause investigations, and verify corrective actions through disciplined retesting.
• Help strengthen quality systems through internal audits, batch record review, material review support, and continuous process improvement.
• Collaborate with suppliers and internal teams on supplier quality, supplier auditing, first article inspection, and quality documentation when needed.

Required Qualifications:

• You bring hands-on experience developing or executing test plans and test cases in a software quality assurance, quality control, or test engineering environment.
• You can apply strong analytical judgment to isolate defects, communicate findings, and prioritize quality risks effectively.
• You understand quality management systems and can follow structured procedures, records, and traceability requirements.
• You work collaboratively with technical and operational teams while maintaining close attention to detail and documentation accuracy.
• You have a high school diploma or equivalent; additional technical education, engineering education, or relevant quality certifications are valued.

Preferred Technical Experience:

• Experience with test automation, test management tools, and software quality assurance practices will help you make an immediate impact.
• Familiarity with AS9100, AS9102, PPAP, GFSI, first article inspection, or internal audit processes is highly desirable.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer credentials or experience supporting Material Review Board activities are welcome additions.

Compensation and Benefits:

This in-person position in Little Diomede, AK offers an annual salary of $50,000 to $60,000, along with health insurance, a 401(k), and paid time off. You will receive practical benefits while building quality expertise in a role where your work matters every day.
